Description

Founded by philanthropist George Peabody in 1866, the Peabody Museum of Natural History has enthralled visitors of all ages for well over a century now with a glimpse of dinosaurs (bones only of course), brightly-colored birds, and rare rocks. Find on show a selection of the museum's permanent collection of over 11 million objects in life-like dioramas (created by the skilled Perry Wilson) , explore Mars and our solar system (from the safety of the Hall of Minerals, Earth and Space), revisit man's origins and learn more about early American inhabitants in the Hall of Native American Cultures. Be sure to see whats hanging in the temporary exhibit space, which regularly includes fine art offerings.
